PHYSICAL THERAPY
Physical therapy is a non-invasive treatment option focusing on pain relief and improving strength and mobility. In many cases, trying physical therapy first for pain and mobility problems can reduce the need for surgery and prescription drugs, while providing lasting health benefits. We do NOT believe in the “no pain, no gain” mantra. Nor will we use your therapy time with gym machines. We will individualize and customize our therapy to maximize your goals for recovery in the shortest possible time, with a thorough and evidence-based approach.
All physical therapy evaluations and treatment plans are performed by an experienced and licensed physical therapist (not an aide or assistant), with one-on-one care for 40-60 minutes. No physician prescription is necessary for the first 30 days of treatment (except for Medicare and some other insurance-based treatments).
We will help you reduce your pain, discomfort, swelling or dizziness; and help you resume your strength, flexibility, stamina, balance, walking and confidence. We pride ourselves on our effective and skilled hands-on manual therapy, neuro-muscular techniques and customized programs to achieve your goals. Programs incorporated into physical therapy programs include LSVT for Parkinson’s, Graston technique for soft tissue injuries, myofascial manipulation, joint mobilization, manual lymph drainage, Pilates-based physical therapy, Epley maneuver for BPPV/dizziness and NDT for stroke and brain injury rehabilitation.
Modalities such as medical ultrasound, neuromuscular electrical stimulation, paraffin wax, traction, Graston tools, TENS, inferential stimulation, kinesiotaping, moist heat and cold packs may also be utilized. Exercise equipment including weights, parallel bars, NuStep, whole-body vibration platform, Pilates reformer, BOSU, balls, rollers, stability chair, bands, spring resistance and more are incorporated into treatments. A private room is also available.
