Rachel Tritaik, PT, LMT, CLT
Physical Therapist, Licensed Massage Therapist, Certified Lymphedema Therapist and Vestibular Rehabilitation Therapist
Rachel owns and manages Island Therapy Center, opening the clinic in 2009 to better serve the community. Rachel grew up in England and Canada, graduating with her Physical Therapy (aka Physiotherapy) degree from Dalhousie University, Halifax, Nova Scotia in 1995. Practicing in Florida since 1997, Rachel specializes in vestibular rehabilitation/dizziness, balance training, NDT, hand therapy, osteoporosis, Parkinson's, stroke and lymphedema treatment. Rachel has lectured to community groups on topics including osteoporosis, stroke, arthritis, fall/fracture prevention and back care/body mechanics. Training in hands-on techniques in Canada and the USA, Rachel is also a skilled massage therapist. A Sanibel resident since 2008, Rachel enjoys stand-up paddle-boarding, Pilates and cycling, and is a member of the APTA and Sanibel Captiva Rotary Club.
Marva Sletten, MA, PT, CMPT, CLT-LANA, LMT

Need physical therapy for any orthopedic or neurological problem? You are in great hands with Marva. A Florida Native, Marva graduated from Florida International University with a BS in Physical Therapy. She has spent time in Arizona and California, and later returned to Florida with her husband, Terry. While in California, Marva became interested in mind-body medicine and earned an MA in Counseling Psychology. She became a Certified Practitioner for The Trager Approach®, a mind-body approach to movement and postural awareness in 1999. Marva became a Certified Lymphedema Therapist in 2010, effectively treating lymphedema, the chronic swelling that can occur as a result of cancer treatment. A skilled manual therapist, Marva completed a year-long manual therapy certification program with Ola Grimsby approach through the Florida Institute of Orthopedic Manual Physical Therapy. Marva has also earned fitness training certifications. Personally, Marva loves the outdoors and enjoys boating and diving. One of her favorite activities is paddle boarding with her dog Ilka. Marva and Terry also love hiking in Colorado and Arizona. Marva is available for PT sessions Mondays, Wednesdays and Fridays, and Saturdays during high season for Trager sessions.
Paula Sedas, PT, DPT
Doctor of Physical Therapy, Certified Clinical Instructor
Dr. Paula Sedas is a highly skilled and compassionate physical therapist with over 17 years of experience, originally from Colombia, South America. She received her PT degree in 1998 from La Universidad del Valle, and then completed her Doctorate in Physical Therapy in 2014 at the University of South Florida. In 2002, Dr. Sedas relocated to Southwest Florida, where she has excelled as a physical therapist in a variety of settings. Dr. Sedas has a strong background and experience working with patients after orthopedic surgeries (including total knee and shoulder procedures), pain management and weakness/balance disorders, and is also a Graston Technique practitioner for instrument-assisted soft tissue mobilization (IASTM). Dr. Sedas enjoys spending time with her husband and daughter, exercising and visiting her family in Colombia. Dr. Sedas is also fluent in English and Spanish.
Daniel Ream, PT, DPT
Doctor of Physical Therapy
Dr. Dan Ream specializes in orthopedics and sports medicine, and enjoys helping patients reduce their pain and return to their prior activities. He earned his Doctorate in Physical Therapy from Rockhurst University in Kansas City, after completing his Bachelor's degree in exercise science. To help patients achieve their goals, Dr. Ream incorporates a movement and exercise based treatment approach, with his manual therapy skills. After practicing as an orthopedic clinician in Missouri, Dr. Ream and his wife spent 4 years in St. Thomas, US Virgin Islands, where he became lead physical therapist for two outpatient clinics. In his free time, Dr. Ream loves running, recreational sports, boating and enjoying island life with his wife and son.
Anja Rottig, SDPT, LMT, CLT

Strongly believing in the healing properties of therapeutic touch, Anja [Anya] received her training in massage therapy from the Florida Academy of Massage in 2011. She believes that our body and mind are constantly seeking balance for better function. In order to facilitate this process, she blends various forms of relaxing and orthopedic massage styles and techniques, such as Swedish, Deep Tissue, Orthopedic as well as Trigger Point Release to provide the most appropriate treatment. Anja is currently progressing towards her Doctorate of Physical Therapy at Florida Gulf Coast University in Fort Myers. During her studies, Anja has developed a strong interest in Women's Health issues, and also in lymphedema, completing her training as a Certified Lymphedema Therapist in 2017. Anja is fluent in English and German, and is currently available for massage therapy services Wednesday afternoons.
Melissa Williams, LMT
Licensed Massage Therapist
Melissa has studied and practiced massage therapy for over 20 years in Los Angeles, New York City and Florida, and hails from a long line of holistic healers, including her mother and grandparents. She works with the body using therapeutic deep tissue massage, myo-fascial release, reflexology, Swedish massage and craniosacral therapy, customized to each individual. Melissa was born in California and raised in Colorado, and is now settled in Southwest Florida. Her favorite activities include Qi Gong, conscious eating and spending time in nature with her husband and daughter. Melissa is available for massage therapy sessions Tuesdays, Wednesdays and Thursdays.
Mahnaz Bassiri, Certified Pilates Instructor, Certified Personal Trainer
Mahnaz has studied Pilates and certified with CORE Dynamics Pilates for Mat and Reformer, and enjoys teaching with a compassionate approach. As a Certified Personal Trainer through the AMFPT, and Group Exercise Trainer through the AFAA, Mahnaz works with individuals with all levels of health and wellness goals. She has lived in Florida for the past 10 years, and has a true passion for helping people to maintain a healthy lifestyle, and achieve their goals safely and efficiently.
